What makes P-Secure unique?
P-Secure combines automated verification of identity, CV, business roles, and other relevant information from public and verified data sources with built-in, sector-specific screening types configured in accordance with applicable EU and national requirements. The customer manages the entire process end-to-end: consent is obtained digitally, data is verified automatically without manual screening or a call centre acting as an intermediary, and the system highlights relevant notifications requiring attention, while the final assessment remains with the customer.
Crucially, compliance does not apply only to P-Secure’s own processing of data. It is embedded directly into the customer’s screening procedure. The scope of the background check is tailored to the candidate’s role, risk profile, sector, and the requirements arising from, among others, CER, NIS2, DORA, and sector-specific legislation, such as requirements within aviation, energy, defence, and other regulated industries. Requirements relating to proportionality, consent, data minimisation, retention and deletion periods, documentation, auditability, and re-screening are operationalised directly within the solution.
The platform’s regulatory logic is continuously maintained and updated in line with new regulations, directives, and national implementations. P-Secure therefore automates not only the background check itself, but also the regulatory framework determining which background checks must be carried out, for whom, and to what extent. Data is processed within the EU, actions are traceable, and the customer retains control over the process, the data, and the final decision.

Timeline
2022
P-Secure was developed as a solution to assist Danish research institutions and companies in cases of possible espionage. The need for a partially automated screening software was identified. P-Secure was part of VENZO A/S.
2023
The prototype was tested at research institutions, airports and members of the security industry. P-Secure is established as an independent company.
2024
P-Secure was introduced and is now in operation at Danish and Greenlandic airports.The solution is also in operation within energy sector, research institutions, transport sector, telecommunication sector, financial sector, the health sector and suppliers of health and companies in the defence industry, security and preparedness. The Airport Solution can handle nationals from all over the world. Sweden and Norway are fully automated on a par with Denmark.
2025
Through existing customers P-Secure is introduced to the Swedish and Norwegian markets, adapted to national legislation. Preparations to introduce P-Secure to the German market. Launch of a new version of P-Secure with additional automation and integration options.
P-Secure is getting investment from three outside investors: EIFO, Ugly Duckling Ventures and Final Frontier to help accelerate growth.
