New estimate: Millions of shoplifting incidents cost the retail industry billions

The Danish Chamber of Commerce estimates that at least one million shoplifting incidents occur in Denmark each year. The actual number may be four to five times higher, and the retail trade loses at least one billion kroner per year – in the worst case, up to four billion kroner. The Danish Chamber of Commerce has 16 proposals that politicians can use to slow down the development.
