Aalborg Airport prepares for digital background checks
Aalborg Airport is preparing for May, when it will implement P-Secure’s solution to support the legally required extended background checks through digital processes.

From May, Aalborg Airport will use P-Secure to digitalize the extended background checks for all individuals requiring airport ID cards, crew cards, and similar access credentials.
Today, the background check process – which includes identity verification and CV screening – is characterized by manual and resource-intensive workflows. With P-Secure, a significant part of the process is automated prior to submission to the Danish National Police Administrative Center. This ensures improved documentation, fewer errors, higher data security, and a substantial reduction in administrative workload.
“We look forward to the implementation in May. The solution’s user-friendly and intuitive design gives us confidence in a smooth and efficient transition. We have already seen positive results from other industry players and are now looking forward to realizing the full benefits of automation in our continuous efforts to maintain a high level of security,”
says Søren Bjerg, Head of Security and DPO, Aalborg Airport.
“At P-Secure, we are pleased to see another airport choosing a secure and digital approach to background checks. Our focus is to make it easy and attractive to work with structured security processes through automation – without compromising other critical considerations,”
adds Lars Andreasen, CEO of P-Secure.
