Protecting the Telecommunications Sector

The purpose of security clearances in the telecommunications sector is primarily to protect the critical telecommunications infrastructure. That is why, among other things, there is a requirement that a number of persons at the telecommunications providers must be nominated for security clearance depending on their roles and responsibilities.

The Agency for Community Safety (SAMSIK) is the authority for safety and preparedness in the telecommunications sector and oversees telecommunications providers' compliance with safety and preparedness rules.
