Optimize security with screening solutions from P-Secure
P-Secure offers a number of screening categories which can be switched on and off on a case-by-case basis. P-Secure can be used for simple ID checks as well as for detailed background checks.
ID
Verification of the applicant's identity via either E-ID (e.g. MitID) or passport. Under 'Settings' of the screening type, you can set which verification methods are allowed.
Basic information
Basic data on the applicant, including name, address, email, telephone number and citizenship.
Residential details
Information about any residence or stay outside Denmark for more than 6 months in the last 5 years. This module is primarily used when applying for extended background checks cf. The Traffic Authority's guidance.
Passport
Check passport information, including name, social security number, validity and citizenship. Passport photos are also included and displayed on the applicant's case.
Drivers license
Check the information from the driver's license, including name, social security number, validity and categories of driver's license. Under 'Settings' of the screening type, you can set which categories of driving licences are required.
CV check
Check of resumes via government income and pension information. It is possible to set how far back the CV should be checked and whether to request documentation (e.g. payslips) if a CV gap is over X days.
References
Check of applicant references. An email is automatically sent to the listed references asking them to confirm or deny - and, if necessary, attach a comment to - the employment relationship.
Business roles and company information
Check an applicant's possible professional roles, including ownership and board and executive positions, as well as company form, ownership, bankruptcies and companies at the same address.
Residence and work permit
A valid residence and work permit is a prerequisite for employees to legally work in an EU country. Failure to do so can result in fines, loss of trust and damage to the company's reputation.
Criminal record
Check the criminal record, including whether any convictions or fines have been listed, as well as a check of authenticity (whether it has been tampered with).
Education
Education information, including educational institution, education, level and diploma/certificate.
Research
Research includes publications, research networks, funding, patents, and hotlists of research institutes with problematic ties to sanctioned countries.
Financial information
Review and assessment of the person's overall financial situation to assess whether the person could potentially be vulnerable to financial pressures and thus pose a risk to the business. This part of is not automated and is always accompanied by an interview with the person.
Social media
Social media is NOT automated and not part of the standard packages, but can be purchased on a separate supplementary contract with its own legal basis.

Critical technologies
If an employee is working with technologies that may be the target of espionage or illegal knowledge transfer, you should pay particular attention to relationships with sanctioned countries or competing companies related to those countries.
Critical countries for espionage and terrorism
Countries identified by Danish and international intelligence agencies as being particularly at risk in relation to espionage, terrorist financing or state-sponsored threat activity. Screening helps identify potential security risks of association with these jurisdictions.
Sanctions lists
International sanctions lists from the United Nations, the European Union, the United States and other authorities that identify individuals, companies and organizations subject to economic restrictions and trade bans. Screening ensures compliance with regulatory sanction obligations.
Industry-specific hotlists
These lists are compiled and shared between companies and research institutions on an ad hoc basis, e.g. as part of a non-disclosure statement prior to a research project. A common hot list ensures that disability challenges and relationships with problematic competitors are automatically identified.
Red Notice (Interpol)
Check the applicant's status on Interpol's Red Notice list, which lists people wanted internationally. However, there may be political motives behind a search, so the list should be used with caution.
Politically Exposed Persons (PEP)
Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) are current or former holders of significant public office as well as their close family members. PEP screening identifies individuals who may be particularly at risk as targets of attack, extortion, or recruitment attempts by foreign intelligence agencies or criminal actors because of their position or affiliation with centers of power.
Critical universities
Foreign research institutions with documented links to military programs, intelligence agencies or regimes that pose a threat to Danish security. Screening protects against illegal knowledge transfer and research espionage.
